This Share a Sundae Art Reflection Activity is a fun and engaging way for students to reflect on their artmaking process!
These cards can be used individually, with partners, or in groups. First, students build a sundae, making sure they have a base, a scoop of ice cream, and a topping. Then, they turn the cards over and complete the reflection sentence starters. Students could discuss them with others or use the questions to write an artist statement. The questions are general enough to where they would be applicable to any project!
There are twelve total questions. The cones and dishes have questions focused on how artists use their hands, the ice cream scoops and swirls are focused on how artists use their hearts, and the toppings are focused on how artists use their mind.
I have included two PDF documents (a vibrant color option and a black and white option if a color printer is not an option for you or you want to add your own color), individual files for each image in case you need to resize, and a directions page.
