**This activity requires the use of grocery store flyers from your local grocery stores**
This product can be used as station work, partner activity, or assessment of decimal operations.
Students will purchase any ten items they want, provided two of them are from the fruit/vegetables family and meat family (forcing them to multiply total price by the pound- 4th graders can use repeated addition).
Once they have added up their totals they are to see you to see how many people are "helping" them pay their bill. They will then have to show they can divide their total between said number of people.
Finally, they will write a word problem based on what they bought at the store.
