**This is a zipped file because of the individual sticker files. The sticker files are MS Word files, the journal covers etc are in a PDF file***
Shared writing journals are a great activity for language centers and early finishers. I use them as a writing option during language workshops. They provide great student created writing models for other students to use as a guide - perfect for split grade classrooms..
This product includes:
12 different shared writing journal covers
4 different writing prompt pages (early primary and late primary, with and without prompt to grab a sticker)
2 writing self checklists (early primary and late primary)
1 page to place in their own book to track what journals they have completed.
Stickers for each journal to place on their tracking sheet (requires Avery 5472 ¾” Round Label)
(You do not have to use the stickers)
I glue the cover to the journal (purchased from the dollar store) then cover with packing tape to improve durability.
I glue the writing prompt page to the inside cover.
I attach the sticker page with a mini binder clip.
Students glue the tracking page in their language folders and add stickers and the date as they complete the journals.
I keep the checklists in a basket in the writing centre. Students paper clip the checklist to their journal.
