This is similar to my "POP" games except that it has a summer/beach theme and is called Shark Attack. This particular Shark Attack version focuses on subtraction facts up to 10. It is great for kindergarten and 1st grade; especially for small group rotations.
Put cards in a container, (I use a metal pail). Have students go around in a circle and take turns drawing cards out of the bucket. If they can tell you the answer to the math problem then they get to pick another card. If they say the answer incorrectly then they have to put it back and it is the next person's turn. However, if the student gets a "Shark Attack!" card then he/she has to put ALL the cards back.
The kids love playing this game!
