Engage your students and utilize language arts, writing, public speaking, collaboration, creativity, and other 21st century skills!
This project is a favorite in my classroom! Students come up with a product and then pitch their idea to the "sharks". Students also take on the role of the shark to evaluate their classmates' pitches and decide which businesses they would like to invest in. Whoever gets the most investments becomes the top entrepreneur!
Included is a month-long unit outline (you can adjust the project to be longer/shorter for your class). Also included are student handouts, graphic organizers, rubrics for grading, self-assessments and peer assessments.
The project includes the following phases:
* Brainstorming and reflection
* Product proposal
* Visual display
* Pitch planning
* Giving pitches
* Investor log/becoming the shark
* Self-reflection, peer assessment, and teacher grading
* Winner: top entrepreneur!
