This is a great resource for teaching number identification and next number! This simple game can be played during small group teaching, in a workstation, or with an instructional assistant.
Students must correctly call out each number. When a Shark card comes up, students will clap their hands above their heads like a fin and call out "shark!" When a Bee card comes up, they will form their arms into wings and flap them while saying "Buzz!" Students love acting out the Shark and Bee cards and are able to increase their number identification accuracy and speed with practice.
This game can also be adapted to practice naming the next number in the sequence. When students see the number, they must consider what number comes next and call it out.
This game includes 76 large cards with numbers 1-50 written in a large font. It can be played for 5-15 minutes. It can be used for a warm-up or for skill practice.
