This fun-filled lesson involves researching a shark of choice and building a model of the shark and its tooth. Students are very intrigued and excited to learn about sharks. This high energy lesson builds interest, motivation, and curiosity among students. Students are told they are marine biologists conducting the research and that they will present their findings and models to other marine biologists (their classmates) when completed. Students work in pairs so they learn and experience additional collaborative learning opportunities. This activity targets several different learning styles such as: Auditory
Creative, Kinesthetic, Verbal, and Visual. Students really have fun role playing and learning about several different species of sharks.
