In my classroom, I kept a "Please Sharpen" pencil pail and a "Ready to Write" pencil pail. When a student’s pencil needed to be sharpened, they placed it in the please sharpen bucket and grabbed a new one from the ready to write bucket. This minimized pencil sharpening disruptions, which made a world of difference! At the end of the day, you could select a student helper to sharpen the pencils or you could sharpen them on your own.
These labels are designed to go on pails, bins, or containers that hold your class pencils. I have included both round and rectangular labels.
