As a high school Media Teacher, my students watch and critique a lot of films throughout the school year. One of my favorite films to show them at the beginning of the year is, “Shattered Glass.” This film is a story based on former journalist, Stephen Glass, who wrote several stories for “The New Republic,” which were not true. It is good to show “young journalists,” how important it is to tell a factual story and what happens when you fabricate a story in the “Real World.”
Note: Even thought the film is PG-13, make sure that you have parent’s permission.
