This fun melody game is perfect for the Christmas season. Students will stay engaged as they practice melody.

In this game, students will piece together ornaments that have split in two. They must match up stick notation with solfege to melodic patterns in the music staff.

Games Included in this bundle:
Shattered Solfa: So and Mi
Shattered Solfa: La
Shattered Solfa: Do
Shattered Solfa: Re
Shattered Solfa: Low La
Shattered Solfa: Low So


Each game includes:
1. Directions for Use: You will want to print and cut out any manipulatives that you use. Two ornaments are shown on each page.

2. 12 ornaments in a variety of styles. Use the style that you prefer:

---Colored ornaments showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. No clef is used for the lower level games (So and Mi, La). A do clef is used for the staff notation in all other games.

---Black and White ornaments showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. No clef is used for the lower level games (So and Mi, La). A do clef is used for the staff notation in all other games.

---Colored ornaments showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. The first pitch is given for the staff notation.

---Black and White ornaments showing stick notation with solfege on one side and notes in the music staff on the other side. The first pitch is given for the staff notation.

--All of the options above are given using standard notation (rhythm with noteheads) in addition to stick notation.

3. Shattered Solfa Worksheet: Your students will be shown the stick notation pattern in each ornament. Their job will be to transfer the patterns into the music staff.

---Worksheet Version 1: The first note is given in the music staff

---Worksheet Version 2: No notes are given in the music staff, but a do clef is used. This version is included in all of the games except the {So and Mi} and {La} versions.


These files can be used for whole group, small group, individuals, and centers. Perfect for fun and assessment!
