This lab (PDF) is specifically tailored to high school students or adult education students who are studying Anatomy & Physiology of the Nervous System. This is also appropriate for middle school. This is a lab activity where students will dissect a sheep brain without meninges and label it. They will then practice identification and the instructor will test on initial correct placement and then test the student. I have included a picture of teacher dissection set up and recommended testing key. There are also post lab questions that students will answer. An answer key is included with this lab.
*This lab goes best with my Sheep Brain Dissection Pre-Lab Activity that I also have for purchase.
1. List and describe the principle structures of the sheep brain
2. Identify important parts of the sheep brain in a preserved specimen and relate them to the parts of the human brain
