Students can practice creating patterns with the Shelling Out Patterns math art activity. Students color their sandcastle and their shells. Students cut and paste their shells on construction paper to create a pattern. Students can create a pattern that you choose or a pattern of choice. Students fill in the pattern writing by writing which kind of pattern they made. This activity is great for math centers and I love using it when I teach my Ocean Unit.
This activity includes:
4 Direction Posters (color and b&w)
Pattern Writing (2 options in b&w)
shells cut outs (color and b&w)
sandcastle cut out (color and b&w)
