Phyllis Reynolds Naylor’s book about Marty and his love for a beagle pup named Shiloh has engaged children for decades and continues to do so. Use this time saving product for a fun, yet academic challenge. I have combined two of my resources, Novel Study Resources and Shiloh Vocabulary Study, into a Super Bundle.
The Novel Resources can be used with any novel/chapter book for 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades so once you have this product, you can continue saving yourself valuable time and money with each novel study you do. Nine graphic organizers help students organize their ideas and thoughts for story elements, theme, vocabulary, and summaries. In addition, there are forty discussion/written response questions covering story elements and a variety of fiction genre: realistic fiction, fantasy, historical fiction, mystery, and science fiction. All of these resources can be cut out and glued into journals.
Thirty tier 2 vocabulary words from Shiloh have been selected for word study. Words are introduced via an interactive slideshow. Also included are Word/Definition cards which can be used for a variety of games, three types of engaging practice worksheets, and word assessments. Finally, a set of illustrated word cards can be used for your Word Wall.
