I used this Shining Star Compliment Card for students to have when they want something to cheer them up on a difficult day. There are 25 boxes in the table. The students wrote their names inside the big yellow star. Then I have students go around the room and sign each student's card, writing something positive about that child. At the end the student has a page full of compliments. I make sure to double check the comments before laminating. Then the students can look at them when they are feeling down.
My students also create portfolios and I bind their work together at the end of the year. I've used this type of activity for an end of the year signature page that I laminate onto the back of the portfolios.
