PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

From Electric English...
This is the rubric for an out of class assignment designed as an assessment for the short story "The Lottery". It requires the students to write a short essay about the story taking into account our reading, our class discussion, and the supplemental material covered in class. The students should quote from the text to substaniate their opinions and brief examples of how to do so are included with the instructions. The essay prompt asks the students to hypothesize about how the lottery may have started and to consider questionable traditions and customs that people still engage in today.

NOTE: There is a FREE copy of "The Lottery" in my store under the heading, Short Story Analysis - The Lottery. Use it for whatever you need :)
