Students will love this activity! What better way to teach math but to use literature and hands-on practice!
Students will read the book "A Fly on the Ceiling" by Julie Glass. You can choose to read the book as a group or you can access the youtube link of a free read aloud of the book.
Students will then use hands on materials to practice graphing in the first quadrant only. All materials are provided in the zip file! Not only do students practice graphing but they will also practice putting the movement it takes to plot the ordered pair, into words. This one activity helps to practice and reinforce TEKS 5.8A, 5.8B and 5.8C
