Print and cut squares apart. Students put together like a puzzle matching English to Spanish. Vocabulary deals with shopping for clothes, the mall, and shopping for food at the grocery store and/or market. It matches that from Asi Se Dice level 1 Chapter 9 and correlates well with Buen Viaje Level 2 Chapter 4. It may include words you haven't covered, but I actually see this as an advantage because they'll have the opportunity to learn a few new ones!
There are 2 different sets. They each have a different picture on the pieces to be able to separate / tell them apart them easier.
The second one is a little more challenging because it has words around the out side edges. They make a sentence using the vocabulary. It is one way of differentiating the activity.
I have several sets so that all students can work on it at the same time (groups of 2-4 work best depending on how long you want it to take). Other times, I use it as a station or as an activity when they are done with something else.
*If I make several sets, I usually put each set on a different color paper for when students find a piece on the floor later. Makes it easier to know where it belongs and it ALWAYS happens!
