Your purchase comes with the document pictured above. Scholars have 2 shopping trips to complete, a splurge trip where they can buy electronics and goodies, and a fantasy meal where they shop for food. Scholars are given a budget and compete to get as close to their limit as possible.

1. Scholars go shopping, and find their total

2. Scholars have a coupon they subtract from their total (they can go shopping again if they have extra money now)

3. Scholars have a sale (percent off) to subtract from their total after the coupon (they can go shopping again if they have extra money now)

4. Scholars must factor in tax (8% in Colorado). If scholars are over budget they will have to adjust

Scholars will do this work for both shopping trips, extra credit is a visual representation of each shopping trip. We made this a competition, scholars who got closest to their spending limit wins a prize.
