QR codes are everywhere we go, the grocery store, the drive thru window, etc. So why not bring them into your speech room? This activity takes your students on shopping a trip to the grocery store as they use attribute clues to identify mystery items.
How to Play: Give each student a LISTO board ( similar to BINGO ), this will also act as their 'grocery' list for the included worksheet. The student chooses a card and reads the identifying clues. After they make their guess about the mystery item they can scan the QR code and check their response. After the students identify an item they can cover it on their LISTO board. The first student to get LISTO ( 5 across, up and down, diagonal, whatever you decide ) wins!
There is also an included worksheet for students to use once the game is finished. Students are given categories to sort items from their 'grocery list' aka LISTO board.
Also included is a note for parents and partially filled in LISTO board. The note explains to parents that their student has been working on attributes, what attributes are, and how to target attributes at the grocery store using the included, partially filled in LISTO board. The board is partially filled in to allow parents to add items from their own grocery list to the board for students to find.
