Description

Looking for high-quality decodable sentences? Then you'll love these Short A Decodable Sentence cards! This pack has 99 decodable sentence cards that are perfect for young readers.

These cards focus on CVC words that have short a. I chose 33 short a CVC words and wrote three decodable sentences for each.

In addition to the CVC words, there are 14 high-frequency words used in the sentences. The words are: I, in, a, is, am, on, it, he, the, has, see, like, and, to.

The cards are numbered for organizational purposes, but the cards aren’t designed to be used in any particular order.

How to Prepare:

Simply print the cards on cardstock. You can laminate for durability if needed.

How to Use:

Each card has a top portion and a bottom portion. First, the CVC words are shown with dots in the top portion, giving students a place to practice the CVC words. After practicing the words, students will read the sentence.
