This packet contains 5 short e activities, in addition to a story. It was designed with emergent/struggling readers in mind. I teach special education inclusion and use this packet as a remediation tool. All of the sentences in the story are meant to be basic in order to allow struggling readers to read them. Most words in the sentences and stories are on a Primer to Preprimer level. I prefer to use the packet over a 5 day period (assuming you have about 15 to 20 minutes of remediation time each day). I use them in the order they are in on the front of the packet. The story is meant to be read daily after the worksheet has been completed. I time it each day in order to measure progress and improvement. The goal is that by the end of the week, the child is able to fluently read the story with little to no errors. Again, I want to reiterate that these are not complex sentences but meant more for a remediation tool if you have a student struggling with the short e skill.
