Product Description

Each Monday morning, I post a short story for my students to read and discussion questions for my students to answer in a response paper. These responses are always due the following Sunday (Short Story Sunday).

I assign China Achebe's "Dead Men's Path" when we discuss late 19th/early 20th century imperialism. This reading can also allow for a larger conversation on what it means to be "civilized" and "modern."

This upload contains:

1. Short Story Sunday Instructions

2. Chinua Achebe's "Dead Men's Path"

3. Three discussion questions for the students over the reading
