Product Description
In this teaching packet, you will be provided with all the resources that you need to offer an alternative assessment or activity for your students using a great motivating tool – technology!

Students will love to showcase their knowledge of a short story by creating a dynamic, interactive flipbook with Flipsnack - a great free technology tool and website!

Students will upload the books they previously created in Google Docs, Microsoft Word, or by using Google Slides. Uploaded into the free website Flipsnack, their books (based on a short story) will become an interactive, dynamic, and polished appearing virtual book – complete with a hardbound cover and pages that makes a flipping sound!

In order to motivate students and excite them, a fun and modern project example has been included based on O. Henry’s “The Gift of the Magi.”

Students will highlight important literary elements within the short story (such as characterization, theme, symbols, and conflicts) by using images, texts, and hyperlinks to related websites, audio effects, and video clips.

This project is designed to be used with ANY short story that you currently teach!
Students can use these materials and the Flipsnack website with any device. All you need is access to Google Chrome!
