Sanchez's Teaching Emporium, Character Analysis, Reflective Literature
Get your students to delve into a story through self reflection, character analysis, and social commentary with these twelve thoughtful questions and tasks. Provide these during the reading, and depending on the length of the story, you can provide these same questions and tasks multiple times.
Two samples: 1. Draw a parallel between this and one other piece of literature or entertainment. 2. What did you find most frustrating or unsettling about this story?
This should begin as an individual assignment, but should move into small circle and then whole class discussion.
