This resource enforces the teaching of reading directionality and learning to blend individual letter sounds into complete words. Clicking mouse/arrow reveals single letters or letter combinations (double consonant) in phoneme-grapheme sound boxes (to help students understand that each letter or combination of letters in a box is a separate sound) until the whole word is shown, then an arrow directs students to read the whole word. This can be used whole group as a short vowel blending lesson, or can be put on a computer for students to practice blending at a literacy station. Each vowel has a separate file. Resource is already in show mode so students will be able to click on the file and it will immediately open and be ready to use.
