This self-correcting game encourages children to identify the short vowel sounds in different words. The game is self-correcting so if your students choose the wrong answer, the game will allow them to go back to the question and choose the correct answer. Follow the blue arrow in the bottle right corner to go through the game.
This game asks children to look at 4 different pictures and choose the one that has the specified short vowel in it.
Instructions are clearly written on each slide.
The first slide does not automatically move. I did this because different teachers might want to do this differently. You might want to talk about each short vowel sound, give examples of words, have the children say the sound with you. However you want to do it, just click the mouse when you want the next letter to appear.
I do encourage you to play the game first to familiarize yourself with the flow and movement of the game as well as the images and the sounds.
