This activity is great for students to practice segmenting sounds together to make words. Students must sound out the CVC words and decide if the words are real or nonsense words. There is one page for each vowel.
As a bonus, I added a page for sorting letters of the alphabet by consonants and vowels. There is also a capital letter / lowercase letter sort included. These simple activities are great for the beginning of school when students are still not able to read directions on the pages. This is simple enough for all learners yet it provides the teacher with a lot of important information about each student's abilities at the start of the year.
This is great for the beginning of first grade or the middle to end of kindergarten. This could be a great enrichment for preschoolers or an intervention tool for older students who may be struggling with sounding out words.
