Your students will create easy-to-read "flip booklets" that will allow them to read simple words! Each mini-booklet is on a single piece of paper for ease of use! The students color in the delightful picture, cut out the letter cards and staple them together to create a booklet in which the letters are "flipped" up to create new words each time.
For example, for the "-at" booklet the students read the words bat, cat, fat, hat, mat, pat, rat, sat and that. There is a total of nine words per booklet! Each booklet features a delightful picture of one of the rhyming words that serves to remind the students of the word family.
There are booklets for the following word families: ag, an, ap, at, ell, en, et, ick, ig, ip, ock, op, ot, uck, ug.
Also included is a classroom checklist to keep track of student progress.
