In this great differentiated work station game pack students will be focusing on the short e (ea) spelling pattern. They will be actively engaging in the concepts as they are enjoying and playing these awesome games.
In game one, A Need and Thread, students will be working with finding picture and word matches. There are 12 matches to be found and a task page for them to complete when they have finished. This is a great activity for those students who still need some picture clues to help them with words.
In the second game, Ready for the Beach, students will be looking at both the long and short sound the -ea can make in a word. This is a great activity for those students in your class who need a little challenge. With over 70 cards to sort students will have to recall prior learning and the current learning to complete this task.
In the last game, Off to Bed Sleepy Head, students will be trying to help their bug get to bed on time by reading short e (ea) words correctly. This is a great activity for the current learning of the -ea sound.
This a set of games that go along with the Reading Street Unit 5 Story 5.
