This resource is designed to provide a fun way for students to practice decoding and blending cvc words, but with a focus specifically on short i. Students fill their lotto game boards with "popcorn" each time one of their words is picked and read. It is a game that students can use independently with a partner or with a group during literacy or word work centers. It can also be used by a general education or special education teacher with a group of students who may be struggling with decoding and blending but who are motivated by learning games. Great for special education students who have IEP goals in the area of Phonics.
