The following activities are leveled to provide easy differentiation of learning for your students. All of the activities at the beginning level have one star (*) and the activities at a more advanced level have two stars (**). You can also print the activities on two colors of paper or cardstock. The following activities are included:
Short i Boxes: This game is similar to bingo. Put all the word cards in a pile. Draw one card at a time, read the word and then put down a place marker on that word on your board.
Fluency Tic Tac Toe boards: Use these tic tac toe boards to help your students increase their fluency practice. Simply print and laminate or put in a sheet protector and use with an expo marker to allow them to be used again and again. The students will take turns reading the sentences in the boxes. If they can read the sentence, they will put their symbol (x or o) in the box. The first with three in a row, wins!
Roll and Read a Sentence: These activities will also help your students increase their fluency practice. The students will roll a dice and then read the sentence that matches that number. The sentences can be read over and over again each time the same number is rolled to practice the fluency. This game can be played independently or with a partner.
