PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Near the end of our unit on the Supreme Court, students write letters to their members of Congress. This fully editable task card with scoring rubric, asks students to research the current nominee for the Supreme Court, his positions and how he would affect the balance of the court. Then students write a letter that is sent in bulk to congressional offices.

This lesson works very well with the New Your Times lesson plan "Evaluating Trumps Nomination of Judge Grouch to the Supreme Court. Can be used in the future with a few minor edits for other judicial branch nominations.
