This document analysis activity requires students to analyze document excerpts that examine the issue of whether or not the United States should enter World War I. This worksheet presents nine document excerpts made before, during, and after America's involvement in World War I. Students are asked to read each statement and identify the key reasons why the United States entered World War I. Student then create a one sentence generalization that summarize the major arguments presented in each statement. Students then completing a culminating activity that has them draw upon the information to respond to the essential question: Should the United State enter World War I? This worksheet can be used for a college prep and honors students.
