Transform your student’s writing about the characters in their stories by using this TWO DAY video lesson. Students learn how to ‘show not tell’ and apply this learning to show a character’s feelings in a book they are reading in the Day 1 Lesson. Then, for Day 2, students make a Yakit Kids video where the character can literally show their feelings.
Two great lessons that engage students in ‘showing not telling’ character’s feelings for your digital classroom.
This is a FANTASTIC product that walks EACH STUDENT through a highly engaging reading and writing tech. integrated session. This product was designed for a 1st-grade classroom, but it is easily applicable to ALL grade levels in elementary with some small adaptations. e.g. students in 4th grade would make their character explanations a lot more complex.
The product is designed ideally for a 1:1, 1:2 classroom of iPads- However, if a class has four or five iPads - this could easily become a center activity.
NOTE: Teachers would need to make sure the app - Yakit is on the iPads (Free from iTunes)
The video contains a step-by-step walk-through with teaching points and demonstration. The support material contains a document to support the session. This is a 'plug and play' session that requires literally NO PREP from the teacher other than pressing PLAY or PAUSE!
I am uploading videos like these every few days. Come back for more 'plug and play' packaged lessons.
