The following handy resource can be used in so many different ways to check students’ understanding of the current concept you are teaching.
They are designed to help with place value. By layering the ones on the tens; teens are formed. By layering the ones & tens onto the hundreds; values up to 999 may be created. Students can SEE the value of each number.
Make number sentences.
Play guessing games with the kiddos. Use the headband template, choose one student to wear a number on the headband (keep it a secret from that student). Other students give clues to the student wearing the number until s/he guesses what’s on his/her headband!
