This scaffold was originally created for my students with expressive language and speech delays who found it really difficult to participate in Show & Tell due to their delays.
Instead of the child giving the or trying to talk about their object, the teacher will facilitate questions (eg. What do you do with it?) so that the child can answer them (bounce it) It is a great way to have the child involved in the Show & Tell process at their communicative level.
The parent completes the 'Questions' section so that they can practice asking their child questions with them answering. Great for answering 'Wh' questions or practicing speech sounds. The parent then makes sure they send this sheet in so that their teacher can asked the same questions.
A simple 'thanks' would be really lovely if you have found these cards to be useful :) Happy showing!
