I created this extensive emotions thesaurus for students who wanted to extend their descriptive writing skills beyond the basic emotions (sad, happy etc.). My students love it and keep it close at hand when writing. Their writing has flourished! It's helpful if students have had a lesson on how to turn a telling sentence into a showing sentence first. See my free 'Show don't Tell lesson'.
The thesaurus includes:
amazement, anger, annoyed, disappointment, disbelief, excitement, fear, frustration, happiness, hatred, impatience, loneliness, love, nervousness, relief, sadness, surprise, shock, sympathy, terror, worry.
A detailed description of each emotion:
*What it looks like
*What the body is feeling
*What the mind is thinking.
I know your students will love using this thesaurus and feel very empowered as writers.
ENJOY using this resource and please leave feedback.
