Join Shrek and his friends as they lead your students on a journey of self-discovery to find the meanings and usage behind the parts of speech.
Lesson Instructions: Print out the 8 parts of speech Shrek sheets and place one each on a different table or different part of the room. The students will rotate every 5 to 6 minutes (depending on the speed of your students) having to define the part of speech, having to write down the provided example, and having to come up with their own examples on the graphic organizer before they move on to the next one. This lesson activates both knowledge and application with fun from familiar characters that kids from elementary to high school love and enjoy. For an added bonus, you can even add closure by having the students share their example sentences to display their learning at the end.
