Write/ Count the Room
Print cards on cardstock and laminate. Cut apart. Place cards around the classroom. Have students record answers on black construction paper with chalk or you can have students write the letters, numbers, or count and record on lined paper with chalk. Students will need to use the same color chalk as the letter or number or chalk is above the ten frame. ORYou can also take students outside and show them a card and have them identify the letter or number and then write the letter or number on the sidewalk.
I Have/ Who Has Game
Directions:
Hand out cards to each student until no cards are left.
Choose a student to go first, and have them read their card aloud.
The student who has the card with that letter or number then reads that answer aloud: “I have __”. This student will then read the question at the bottom of their card – ‘Who has ___?’ Then the student with the card that answers the question responds. Every card in the set is connected to a card before it and a card after it. To keep the game moving at a quick pace, all students need to pay attention to every question that’s asked?
Play continues in this fashion until all of the cards have been played. The game will end with the same student who started play.
