This is a two day activity in my class. The first day, I have the students use slips of paper to decide if the activity that is pictured on the slide is something that they participate in always, sometimes or never.
The second day, I have the students go through the activity slides again, except this time they write the frequency in which they participate in the featured activity on a dry erase board.
Once the students have gone through the powerpoint slides twice, the next step is to conduct a survey of their classmates. They now ask their classmates to answer in Spanish how often they participate in each activity. They ask each of the 19 questions to two different classmates and record their responses in Spanish.
The activities are pictured on each slide using animated clip art. The question is in Spanish at the top of the slide and then the answer pops up with a mouse click.
Activities: cooking, vacuuming, eating, homework, reading, writing, visiting friends, talking on the phone, playing videogames, dancing, swimming, riding a bike, lifting weights, answering questions, watching movies, sleeping in class, drawing, buying things and listening to music
