This activity comes with the templates needed to build a beautiful Christmas tree modeled after Sierpinski's famous fractal triangle. This activity is a great follow-up to use after discussing Pascal's triangle or as a stand-alone project that will add an amazing decoration to your math classroom.
The templates are grouped together with follow-up questions that explore the connection between the Sierpinski tree, geometric sequences, explicit and recursive forms of a sequence, area with Heron's formula, volume, and percentages. Do as much or as little of the follow-up questions to accommodate the level of your class.
This is a great team building activity that is sure to grab the interest and enthusiasm of your toughest students.
