Use these exercises to help your students reinforce their ability to identify notes on the treble staff, and transfer those notes to the alto recorder. This is a great sight reading exercise that will boost your students awareness of linking reading and playing and fills them with confidence. It is also a great assessment tool if you want to make sure your students know the fingering on the recorder without practice time. First we play measures together as a class. Once students have the hang of it, allow them to stand in front of the white board individually to play a selected measure.
