Slide 1: Introduce the word

Slide 4: Ask what the kids notice about the word (How many letters in the word, does it have double letters? Are there any funny sounds (digraphs, vowels that make the wrong sound, etc.), does it look like another word they know? The possibilities are endless. Let the kids lead.

Slide 6: Name some words that rhyme with the sight word. You can write them down or just yell them out. The next slide is a movement slide so there is time to erase :)
