Make practicing sight words fun! Who doesn’t love bingo?! And when it improves sight word recognition, decoding and reading fluency, it’s a win-win for everyone! This set coincides with the sight words taught in Unit 4 of the second grade Reading Wonders curriculum, but is a great resource for any student learning sight words! It can even double as enrichment for any kindergarten or first grade students who are working above grade level and are ready to work with more challenging words.
With 10 new words being taught each week, this whole class sized set of 50 bingo cards is separated into two sets; weeks 1-3 and weeks 3-5. The words on all 50 boards have been mixed up, so every student will have a different board. It's perfect for reviewing sight words at the end of the unit during the week 6 review. It can be used whole class or in a small group. It is also great for use by a paraprofessional while they are working one-on-one or with small groups of your students as extra support. I’ve even placed these in a literacy center for groups of students to practice on their own when we’ve moved onto the next unit.
