Teachers, I designed this booklet for students to practice the sight words “I, can, see” during “S Week” at a Writing Station or as a whole group activity. These words and the letter “S” are taught in Unit 1 of the Reading Wonders series by McGraw-Hill.
Students can use picture clues to read the predictable text and practice tracing the sight words in each sentence. They can also color the S pictures. Use as many open-ended sentences as you’d like to encourage them to find other things that begin with the letter s.
This activity is perfect to use with “I Can See” Sight Word Practice for the Pocket Chart, which is also available at my TpT Store.
1. Copy each page. (Top and bottom halves are identical.)
2. Cut each page in half horizontally.
3. Create booklets using one of each page and add as many open-ended pages as you’d like.
4. Staple together and let the learning begin!
