The printable can be used with younger students learning sight words. The activity works well independently or in small groups during literacy centers.
Each printable has blank circles and a caterpillar body. On the body, you spell out the sight word that students are working on. On the individual blank circles, write the same letters. These will be cut out and then used to cover up the letters on the caterpillar.
Once you have written out all of the words on the caterpillars and the letters on the individual circles, cut apart the circles (not the ones on the caterpillar) and put them in a bag. Students will then sort through the letters to find the correct ones to complete their word.
