The way I use these is to put together a Sight Word Club bulletin board. I call it my Sight Word Super Stars. I have added more words -- making this club go up to 160 if you have space to do that. That way, even our high performing students can keep reaching higher.
I print out each set of 10 words on one color of card stock. For example, page 2-5 is on yellow, 6-9 is on orange, 10-13 is on pink...etc. I print out and laminate all of the pages. Then the sight words stars are used to border the entire bulletin board, one set at a time. For example, all of Club 10 words are together, followed by Club 20 and so on. Then in the center of the bulletin board, I arrange the “Club” posters. I also print out small picture of each of my students. When each student has mastered the Club list, I put their picture on that poster. As they move up in sight word knowledge, their picture moves up to higher Club lists. This is a fun, decorative way to motivate your students to take ownership over learning their sight words.
