This is a cute little Heidisongs activity for those of you that enjoy using plastic eggs in your classroom! All you have to do is write the first letter of the word on one half of the egg, and the rest of the word on the other. Mix up the egg halves, and put them in a basket with some grass.
Now comes the fun part! Let the children try to match up the colored eggs to form some sight words and read them. They can use the colors of the eggs as a clue as they try to find the matches. Once they have found the correct matches, they can record their words on the eggs on the recording sheet and color it. Have fun with this freebie!
