Do you have a student that struggles with decoding sight words? In this set of flash cards, it gives students the sight word to identify. When they begin to struggle, flip the card over in order to determine the word based on context clues. The words are taken from lists of Reading Inventory word recognition lists.
Different ways to use the cards:
* have the students read the cards one by one
* Make two copies of the cards and play ‘Go Fish’ or ‘Matching’ with the cards
* Complete timed reading of the cards each day. This can be done one of two ways:
o Give the student 1 minute to read the cards. Graph the amount of cards they read each day.
o Time how long it takes to read all of the cards. Graph the amount of time it takes to read the cards.
