Sight Word Flashcards With Clip Art
Placing a small image in the corner of my flashcards has helped my students reach huge milestones when learning sight words. My special education students showed HUGE growth when I started using these. It helps students make consistent image connections with the word, and therefore connections in their brain.
I start with these, and of course start to cover the image up over time. I find that my students STILL know those words even without the images. They are still able to read them in context. Nothing is lost, but so much is gained.
Head over to my blog to read more about how I use them and keep a look out for the primer set as well.

Note: The font is not exactly the same size on each card. They are not all positioned in the exact same spot. See the preview to see each card.
